Scribbler is a diary program for linux console, written in python.
Requires: text editor (vim by default), browser (lynx by default). News:
0.5a: month dirname is changed from e.g. Aug to 08-Aug; day file-name changed from e.g. 8-Wed.txt to 08-Wed.txt - both of these changes make entries appear chronologically in lynx while browsing.
New version: 0.5 - You can name an entry by putting subject line in the second line of the file, and filename will be changed to e.g. 19-Sun-Beginning of Vacation.txt. This will allow you to quickly see what happened on that day just by looking at list of files, and also search for some particular subject using locate or find commands. Make sure to add this line to /etc/lynx.cfg: LIST_FORMAT: %a. You need this so that long filenames fit on one line in lynx.
